1. Academic Exercises:
Fr. Apolinario Cardozo, Executive Director, wrote a series of articles for the Dor Mhoineachi Rotti a Konknni monthly on the life of Jesuit Saints. The September issue published an article entitled Bhagevont Alberto Hurtado, Chile-cho Apostol. The subsequent issues contained articles on Bhagevont Pedru Claver- Gulamancho Askari (1580-1654) Bhagevont Stanislaus Kostka (1550-1568) and Bhagevont John Berchmans (1591-1621).
Fr. Efraim Gracias, Administrator, has also been contributing articles regularly to the Dor Mhoineachi Rotti. He published a series on the life of St. Ignatius each month till date, under the title Loyolacho Bhagevont Inas, Hachi Kotha-1. The series contained Inasache ‘Atmik Veayam' (Spiritual Exercises), Povitr-Sobhek Dennem, Inasachea Bhavartachem Khoddop: Jezu, Inas Bondkhonnint and Jezuitanche Sonvsthechi Sthapna.
Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza, Director of Academic and Research, published an article Xikxonna Vixim Xikxonn Divpi Vichar in Jaag, a Konknni monthly of August- September issue.
Dr. Pratap Naik, joint Director of Academic and Research prepared Hansun Khellun Xikum-ia a Konknni Primer for KG level in Roman Script. Broadway Publishing House, Panaji has published this book. The book was released by Fr. Conceição D' Silva, the Parish priest of Taleigão Church, on July 01 2011. Pratap Naik has written articles entitled Medium of Instruction: a boon or bane, Mother tongue, Medium of Instruction: Myths and facts, Child is the Centre of education, Medium of Instruction at a glance, Primary Education scenario in Goa for local dailies. His articles Marathicized Konknni versus Konknni and Konkani's Past, Present and Future were published in Goa Today monthly of September and November issues respectively. Kavita Magazine published Pratap Naik's article 450 years of Printing in India (6.8.1556 - 6.8.2006). After TSKK Report 2010 was printed, Pratap Naik's Konknni articles Kola, Kolakar, Puroskar and Tal Naslolem Notal were published in Christmas issues of Dirvem Konknni weekly and Sangati Mithr Konknni monthly in their Christmas issues. Pratap's academic assistance and guidance was sought by number of researchers from India and abroad. He has guided a few researchers through e-mail.
TSKK Research Bulletin: Sôd 15 was released on 15 September. Fr. Pratap Naik has edited this issue. It contains articles: Amchi Nodor by the Editor; Fr. Thomas Stephens: the Shakespeare of the Konkan Coast (1549-1619) by Fr. Francis Correa; The Logic of Ol Chiki by Mr. T. Vijayendra; The folk Plays of Salcete: Jack Santan Menezes (1898-1939) by Dr. José Pereira,; Sod vavr ani tachem mohotv" by Pratap Naik; Sindhi Language ready to take off in Roman Script by Mr. Wilmix Wilson Mazarello; Contribution of Missionaries to Konknni Linguistics by Pratap Naik; Albee and the theatre of the absurd by Dr. Sandhya Bhandare; and Dakhni by Mr. T. Vijayendra.
TSKK is developing an archive of its flora and fauna in photography form. The Photo gallery of its botanical garden flowers was opened during the Konknni Story Telling Competition on November 26.
3. Courses, Seminars, Lectures & Workshops:
TSKK Staff, Fr. Pratap Naik, Ms. Minakshi Khandolkar and Ms. Sampada Chodankar conducted one month crash courses in Konknni for the beginners from all walks of life. The following benefited from these:
Dr. Leif Höckerstedt, a retired sociolinguistics professor from Finland, (March 5-31); Fr. Conrad Mascarenhas, S.J. of Bombay Province (March 14-31); Mr. Chinmay, a Ph.D. student of linguistics studying in IIT, Mumbai; an NRI, a student from England and another from Calcutta (June 1-30 ), Ms. Anupa Akre in Devanagiri (June 1 - 30) Brig. Christopher Fernandes, his Wife and Daughter (7 June to July 7), Sr. Amala Kulandai Samy (July 7 to August 6), a retired teacher of St. Xavier's High Secondary School, Mapusa (August 8 to September 9), Sr. Orpha Tirkey, an ICM sister (August to September 22).
From October Fr. Pratap Naik is conducting a crash Konknni Linguistic Course for teaching purposes. It is being attended by Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza, Mr. Salvador Fernandes, Ms. Minakshi Khandolkar and Ms. Sampada Chodankar.
From November 3 - 5, TSKK conducted an English Course for Primary Teachers. 13 teachers attended the course. Mrs. Marion Valladares Smith was the resource person. She was assisted by Mr. Stanley Smith.
Fr. Pratap Naik was invited by the English Department of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda to present a paper on Konknni for their seminar on Regional Literary Historiographies of Western India, which was held on February 4 and 5. He presented a paper on Konknni: A Politicized Language.
Fr. Savio Abreu presented a paper titled Christianity in Post-colonial Goa: Shifting religious, caste & gender equations and issues of identity at the International conference Christianity in History: Encounters, Engagements & Experiences organised by the centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi from 2 to 4 of February.
Delgado Konknni Academy, Goa organised the third Konknni Literary and Cultural Conference of Roman script on 19 and 20 February at Kala Academy, Panaji. Fr. Pratap Naik took an active part in it.
On February 25, Fr. Savio Abreu attended a seminar on Ecology at Club Harmonia, Margao organized by Loyola High School and Loyola Ex Students.
On March 26, Fr. Pratap Naik presented facts and figures related to Konknni through power point presentation to 32 M.A. students of Konknni Department of Goa University.
On April 1, Frs. Pratap Naik and Savio Abreu took part in programme related to the topic Medium of Instruction that was telecast on Doordarshan, Panaji.
On August 20, Fr. Pratap Naik attended the First Jagotik Konknni Songhotton (Global Konknni Organisation) at Mangalore.
On September 6, Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza compered the Marathi Poetry book Mastor of writer Dadu Mandrekar that was released at Kala Academy, Panaji. She delivered a review talk on the said poetry anthology.
On September 14, Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza was invited by the Staff Training College at the Goa University campus to deliver a lecture on Anna Hazare's Lokpal Bill.
From September 23 to 26, Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza attended the Conference and Meditation Retreat on empowering researchers through applied spirituality at Shantivan, Mount Abu, Rajasthan.
Fr. Pratap Naik presented his paper Konknni: A Language at the Crossroads at the Goa 2011: Reviewing and Recovering 50 years seminar organised by TSKK-XCHR on 29 and 30 September.
On October 29, Dalgado Konknni Akademi invited Fr. Pratap Naik to give a talk cum power point presentation on the topic Konknni in Roman Script as a subject in School Curriculum at Panaji.
Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore invited Pratap Naik to deliver the key note address on November 30 2011 at its silver Jubilee concluding function held at Kalaangann, Mangalore. He spoke on the major achievements of Mandd Sobhann for the last 25 years and his views on its future orientation.
4. Academic Programmes:
2 March: TSKK called a meeting of some of its benefactors, well wishers and others to brief them about the present activities of TSKK and the future projects. 25 people attended the meeting.
4 June: Suttke Samavesh committee met at TSKK to discuss the further course of action against Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi to obtain equal status for Konkani in Roman and Kannada Scripts. TSKK is a member of the SS committee.
6 June: Fr. Apolinario Cardozo and Fr. Efraim Gracias joined TSKK family as Executive Director and Administrator respectively.
19 June: Selected Konknni writers from Mumbai, Mysore, Mangalore and Goa met at TSKK to form Jagotik Konknni Songhotton (Global Konknni Organization).
01 August: Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza joined the TSKK as the Director of Academic and Research
8 to 10 August: Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza attended the Second National level workshop of the Indradhanush Wordnet Project consortium at Goa University.
20 August: Jagotik Konknni Songhotton (Global Konknni Organization) was officially instituted at Mangalore, TSKK took active part in the formation of JKS and has become its member. Fr. Pratap Naik attended the first JKS meeting at Mangalore.
20 August: As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Goa's Liberation, XCHR in assistance with TSKK organised an Inter School Goa History Quiz Competition. Around 357 students from 30 schools across Goa participated in it.
29-30 September: On the occasion of Goa's Golden Jubilee Celebrations, TSKK and XCHR jointly organised a national seminar ‘Goa 2011: Reviewing and Recovering 50 years, dealing with various issues related to post liberation Goan society.
20 November: Fr. Pratap Naik took part in the regional Konknni conference organised by the Global Konknni Organisation at Panaji. He moderated the session The Situation of Konknni in Goa.
07 December: Dalgado Konknni Akademi organized Konknni Poets' Meet at Woodlands Hotel Margao. Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza was the Chief Guest for the function.
11 December: Mandd Sobhann, Mangalore organized Third Global Konknni Music Awards function at Mangalore. The awards were given to the following categories: best music album 2010, the best male singer 2010, and the best female singer 2010, the best lyricist 2010, the best music composer 2010 and the best music arranger 2010. The winners were given Rs 25,000/- each. Pratap Naik was one of the juries to select the lyricist. He was also the jury for the First and Second Global Konknni Music Awards.
16 - 17 December: Dr. Chandralekha D' Souza attended a Seminar on Dr. Anand Patil's Literature at Chowgule College, Margao. She read a Seminar paper: Ttikavostroporonn aur Samiksha apohoronn ke Sondarbh mem.
5. Audio Visual Media:
On 30 December 2010, Goa Doordarshan telecast at 6.30 pm a Konknni programme on first Konknni Cultural Convention which was organised by Mandd Sobhann and held at Mangalore from November 25 to 19 December 2010. Fr. Pratap Naik, Mr. Siddanath Buyão and Mr. Wilmix Mazarello took part in this TV programme.
On 8 July and 15 July 2011: Doordarshan, Panaji telecasted TSKK Mother Teresa Brass Band Konknni Programme in two parts from 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. The programme consisted of various Konknni songs (devotional, wedding, folk, funeral, film and general songs) played by Mother Teresa Brass Band of 11 musicians. Fr. Pratap Naik and Ms. Trupti Naik compered the programme.
On October 14: AIR broadcasted Fr. Efraim Gracias' programme on AIDS - A Call to Compassion. Ms. Isabel Vaz, niece of Late Fr. Santa Rita Vaz, let her voice for the programme.
AIR, Panaji has regularly broadcast throughout the year Fr. Pratap Naik's Konknni bhajans from Bhakti Sobhann series.
6. TSKK Awards:
The award giving function was held on 26.01.2011 at the TSKK premises. Mr. Cyriaco Dias, the veteran Konknni tiatrist and film actor was the Chief Guest. Mr. Walter Menezes and Ms Brenda Menezes compered the programme. Mother Teresa Brass Band, Honavar, Karnataka presented the Konknni Instrumental Music programme.
1. Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar (APKP):
TSKK honoured the Veteran Konknni Tiatrist Mrs. Ophelia D' Souza with prestigious Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar (APKP) 2011 for her valuable and immense contribution to Konknni Tiatr and Films. The award consists of a shawl, memento and a cash Rs. 25,000/-.
2. Konknni Martir Floriano Vaz Puroskar:
Konknni Martir Floriano Vaz Puroskar 2010 was conferred on Mr. Vincy Quadros for his short story book ‘Turo.' The award consists of a Memento, and Cash Rs. 5, 000/-.
3. Jack Sequeira Konknni Puroskar:
Jack Sequeira Konknni Puroskar has been instituted at TSKK by Fr. Conceição D'Silva, the Parish Priest of Taleigao. Mr. Jose Salvador Fernandes, the Secretary of Dalgado Konknni Akademi was given this award for 2010. The award consists of a shawl, memento, and cash of Rs. 5, 000/-.
4. Carvalho Ghorannem - TSKK Kola Puroskar:
Mr. James Lopes from Honavar, Karnataka, leader of the Mother Teresa Brass Band, was presented this award. The award consists of a shawl, memento, citation and cash of Rs. 25,000/-. The award giving function was held in collaboration with Mandd Sobhann at Kalaangann, Mangalore on 6 November.
7. TSKK Scholarships:
Lourenço Umbelina de Souza Scholarship
Master Aaron Jack Fernandes, a XII standard student from Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Sanvordem was given the Lourenço Umbelina de Souza Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- on 26 January.
At the end of 2011, TSKK library collection has reached to 16,100 books. The work of computerizing books is going on. Some of the important arrivals of TSKK library are as follows:

9. Functions and Events:
26 January: Ms. Shalini Priolkar who served TSKK for last 25 years as an Attendant was felicitated at the Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar ceremony.
July 30 2011: The feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated by TSKK and XCHR Staff jointly. Fr. Efraim Gracias was in charge of the programme and he led the get-together with a prayer service. Fr. Apolinario Cardozo conducted the games. The programme ended with lunch.
25 October: TSKK and XCHR jointly celebrated Diwali festival in XCHR hall.
28 October: TSKK and XCHR Staff went for a picnic at Raul Farm at a place called Sall situated on the border of North Goa.
26 November: TSKK in assistance with XCHR organised Konknni Story Telling Competition for the students of Middle Schools of North Goa in XCHR hall. 24 Schools participated in it.
17 December: TSKK with the assistance of XCHR conducted a programme in the TSKK premises for the parishioners of Holy Family parish, Porvorim, entitled ‘A Christmas Evening."
23 December: Both TSKK and XCHR Institutes had a joint Christmas celebration.
Pratap Naik has regularly attended Konknni programmes of Tiatr Academy and Dalgado Konknni Akademi held at Panaji.
10. Our Benefactors:

TSKK gets visitors throughout the year. They come either to see the place or to make a study of the Botanical Garden. These include Jesuits, High school students, College students and post graduate students.
12. TSKK FAMILY:
Ms. Trupti Naik and Mr. Jalandar Naik left TSKK. TSKK is grateful for their dedicated service. Mr. Shivappa Chelawadi has joined TSKK, as a garden helper.
TSKK's Appeal for Projects:
TSKK receives no grant or any financial assistance from the State and Central Governments. We entirely rely on God and the generosity of people of good will. Hence we appeal for help from those who love Konknni and its rich cultural heritage, so that TSKK can efficiently serve Konknni and Konknnis.
