On September 20, 2014, the Kendr organised a half day Seminar on the topic, TIATRACHEM SVARUP ANI FUDDAR (The Nature and the Future of Tiatr), for the Konknni students of selected colleges of Bardez and Ilhas and for the M.A. students of the Konknni Department of the Goa University. Around 40 students participated in this Seminar. The focus of the Seminar was to let the students get an in-depth knowledge of the Konknni Art form, Tiatr. Students from the invited Colleges, accompanied by their Konknni lecturers and the Head of the Konknni Department, participated in the Seminar and benefited much from it. Mr. Shridhar Kamat Bambolkar, a well-known Director, was the Chief Guest. Dr. Prakash Vazrekar, Konknni lecturer, Khandola College, Marcela, gave the keynote address. Three well - known Konknni tiatr stalwarts presented their views on the topic. Mr. Cosma Fernandes, lecturer at MES College, Vasco, presented his views on the topic, Tiatrachem Svarup (The nature of Tiatr), Fr. Luis Gomes, gold medalist in M.A Konknni, from the Goa University, spoke on the topic, Tiatrantli Ostori (The role of women in Tiatr) and Mr. Michael Gracias, a well known writer of tiatrs, presented a paper on the topic, Tiatr, Somazacho Harso, (Tiatr - a mirror of society). The discussion that followed the presentations was well handled by Mr. Tomazinho Cardozo, ex-President of Tiatr Academy, Goa. He and the Speakers clarified the roles of the ‘Kant' and the ‘Kantaram' in the tiatrs.  At the start, the Director of the Kendr, Fr. Apolinario Cardozo, S. J. extended a warm welcome to the gathering, whereas Fr. Jose Silveira, the Administrator and also publisher of the Konknni monthly, DOR MHOINEACHI ROTTI, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Raksha Chari compered the event. Ms Minakshi Khandolkar along with two university students introduced those who presented papers and other dignitaries of the day.
