Inter School Advertisement Competition (Jairat sort) in Konkani

-    Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr, at Porvorim organised an Inter School Advertisement Competition (Jairat sort) in Konkani for the students of Std. VII on Saturday July 23, 2022. Altogether 14 schools participated in the competition which was held in the Tskk Hall from 9:30 am till 11:00 am. 

-    Sanvi Amit Nagvekar ani Sahil Govekar of St. Anthony’s High School, Duler bagged the 1^st  prize whereas Shreya P Naik and Manasvi Kare of Auxilium High School, Caranzalem bagged the 2^nd Prize and Serenella Fernandes and Kartik Patekar of Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley High School and Aasmi Kothwale and Neeraj Talkatkar of Holy Cross High School, Siolim were settled for 3^rd and 4^th Prize respectively.

-    Use of natural resources over artificial factory made, such as Dried Cowdung cakes over Agarbat’tis, Cloth bags instead of Plastic, Consumption of Fresh vegetables and the art of marketing, Use of Sanitizer were some of the themes that came up during the presentations. The children presented their stuff with a lot of creativity and dialogues.

-     Well-known Tiatr Artistes, Ms Tracy de Calangute and Valerian Fernandes from Aldona were the judges for the programme.  All the participants were given Participation certificates along with a Gift Hamper.  Fr. Kelwin Monteiro SJ was the Compere for the function whereas the Director of the Kendr, Fr. Jose Silveira SJ welcomed the gathering with few insightful thoughts and also did the honors of giving away the prizes and gift hampers along with the certificates to the participants. Fr. Amit D'souza SJ captured the event with his skills on the camera.
