The TSKK Management and Staff

Wish their Benefactors, Friends and Well wishers
Peace and Joy of
Greetings and Blessings of

The year 2009 has been for TSKK a year of constant tough challenges and graces. In this year TSKK lost its ex-director, dedicated and renowned Konknni scholar Fr. Matthew Almeida, S.J. A number of TSKK benefactors expired. Four dedicated staff members left TSKK. TSKK faced a great difficulty to recruit suitable new staff. Three times TSKK underground electricity supply to pump room broke down. Invertors and computers broke down. TSKK director's health suffered thrice due to the attack of chest cold and cough and severe back pain.  TSKK fowls and cats died. Due to Global financial situation TSKK too suffered financial loss in its Mutual Fund investments. In the month of October due to torrential rain three members of TSKK Family lost their mud houses in Honnali village of Bagalkot district of Karnataka. We have not considered these as disasters but challenges for our growth. TSKK decided to rebuild the houses of its illiterate and poor staff members and give them these houses as a 2010 New Year's gift.  Without doing the thorough study of the material and work force available at Honnali village we estimated the approximate cost as Rs. 5.5 lakhs.  Now the cost to rebuild three houses of (8x4 mts) will be Rs 8.5 lakhs. We appealed to TSKK benefactors, friends, well wishers and family members.  The response which we have received has filled our hearts with joy and gratitude. Never in the past had we received such generous contribution and appreciation.  This is due to the infinite love and graces of our Heavenly Father.  As on 23 December noon we have received 50% of the total amount required. Once the houses are rebuilt we will send the accounts and photographs of new houses to our donors. The following persons have generously contributed to rebuild the houses.  A few of them explicitly requested us not to disclose their names. Such donors are labelled as anonymous in our present report. We hope that others will follow their good example and send their generous contribution to us at their earliest. Jesus has said, "Whatever you did this for one of the least important brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me." (Mt. 25:40). TSKK practices these words of Jesus in letter and spirit. We hope and pray that generous donors will help us to complete the Housing Project.
